Welcome to CRUZA Rent a Car (“we”, “our”, “us”). By renting a vehicle from us or using our website cruzaoman.com, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Rental Requirements

  • Customer must be at least 23 years old and hold a valid driving license.
  • A copy of the passport/ID and driving license is required.
  • For tourists, a valid international or GCC license is acceptable.
  • We reserve the right to refuse rental to any customer who does not meet our requirements.

2. Booking & Payment

  • Bookings can be made online, by phone, or via WhatsApp.
  • Payment can be made upon vehicle collection unless otherwise stated.
  • Rates include standard mileage, unless a specific limitation is mentioned.
  • Prices may vary based on season, availability, and rental duration.

3. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit may be required depending on the vehicle type.

4. Insurance Coverage (Full Insurance – Included for All Vehicles)

All CRUZA vehicles come with Full Insurance (Comprehensive Insurance) included in the rental price.

The insurance covers:

  • Accidental damage to the rental vehicle
  • Third-party liability
  • Fire and theft
  • Natural events (flood, storm, etc.)
  • Replacement vehicle depending on availability

However, the following are NOT covered even with Full Insurance:

The customer will be fully responsible for the below:

  1. Off-Road Driving
    • Damage caused by off-road use (including beach, sand, mountains, wadis, or unfit terrains).
  2. Negligence / Illegal Use
    • Driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
    • Ignoring warning lights or reckless driving.
    • Using the vehicle for racing or dangerous activities.
  3. Tire & Wheel Damage
    • Tires, rims, punctures, or related damages.
  4. Interior Damage
    • Stains, burns, smoking damage, or interior scratches.
  5. Loss of Keys / Documents / Accessories
    • Key replacement, vehicle registration document, spare tire, tools, or equipment.
  6. Accident Without an ROP Report
    • Insurance applies only with an official report from the Royal Oman Police.

5. Vehicle Usage

  • Vehicles must be used within Oman unless prior written approval is granted.
  • Off-road driving is not allowed unless the vehicle is a 4×4, and even then, misuse may void coverage.
  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was collected.

6. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles are provided with a certain fuel level and must be returned at the same level.
  • Missing fuel will be charged at the current market rate plus a service fee.

7. Late Return Policy

  • A grace period of 1 hour may be allowed.
  • Delays beyond 1 hour may incur charges as follows:
    • Over 3 hours: Full-day charge
  • Repeated late returns may affect future booking approvals.

8. Vehicle Condition & Responsibility

  • Customer must inspect the car upon pickup.
  • Any damages found upon return will be billed accordingly.
  • Smoking in the vehicle is strictly prohibited and may result in cleaning fees.
  • Loss of personal items is not the responsibility of CRUZA.

9. Breakdown & Accidents

  • The customer must immediately report any accident to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
  • A valid police report is required for insurance processing.
  • Mechanical breakdowns not caused by misuse will be handled by us at no extra cost.
  • Misuse-related breakdowns (empty fuel, dead battery, etc.) may be charged.

10. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Bookings cancelled 24 hours before pickup are free of charge.
  • No-shows may be charged up to one full day.
  • Applicable refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.

11. Privacy Policy

  • We collect only the personal information required to complete your rental.
  • We do not share your data with any third party unless required by law.

12. Liability

  • The customer is responsible for any traffic fines, violations, or toll fees during the rental period.
  • CRUZA is not responsible for any personal belongings left inside the vehicle.

13. Modifications to Terms

  • CRUZA may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • Updated versions will be available at cruzaoman.com.

Vehicle rental services are provided and fulfilled exclusively in the Sultanate of Oman.
Payments are processed online for reservation and billing purposes.

All drivers must comply with local traffic laws and regulations during the rental period.

CRUZA reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking in cases of policy violations, misuse of the vehicle, or incorrect information provided by the customer.

Security Deposit Policy

The security deposit amount varies depending on the selected vehicle and will be clearly displayed for each car.

Credit Card Deposits

If you pay using a credit card, the security deposit will be pre-authorized (blocked) on your card at the time of vehicle pickup.

The amount will remain blocked for up to 30 days after the vehicle is returned and will be automatically released.

Cash Deposits (No Credit Card)

If you do not have a credit card, the security deposit can be paid in cash at the time of pickup.

The deposit will be returned via bank transfer within 30 days after the vehicle is returned.

Any bank transfer fees (usually between 2–5 OMR depending on the bank) will be covered by the renter.

Cardoo Option

If you choose the Cardoo (Deposit Free) option, no security deposit is required.

Important Notes

  • The selected vehicle is subject to availability at the time of booking confirmation. If it is unavailable, a similar or equivalent alternative will be offered.
  • All prices are inclusive of VAT (5%).
  • Extras are subject to availability.
  • Camping and outdoor equipment is intended for outdoor leisure use only.
  • Any damage, loss, or misuse of extras will be charged to the renter.
